I first met Aimee & Codey back in 2017 when doing an extended family shoot organised by Aimee’s sister, (who we had also done 3 previous shoots for). I remember a little banter around Codey needing to drop the big question pretty soon as they had been together for nearly 5 years.
On the 28th of July 2019, their first day in London, they were taking in the nighttime views, Codey said to Aimee, I have a serious question to ask you! then said, no I don’t, do you want to go for a beer? Mind you it was 11:30pm, they had landed in London at 6am that morning and had walked the best part of 40km that day. Aimee said no to beer, I need sleep. Codey then said, “I actually do have a serious question” he got down on one knee and proposed on the Millennium Bridge. By Aimee’s own admission she got the giggles and Codey asked to hurry up and say yes as the bridge was hurting his knee. I love a good proposal story.
As that was the day Aimee said I will, tomorrow is the day they both say I do. But before they do, I just want to share their engagement shoot with you. After a false start or 2 due to a couple of massive downpours, we picked a day that still rained a little, but nowhere near enough to stop these 2 from having a laugh and enjoying each other’s company, Codey even got in a few cheeky ass grabs, which really is what engagement shoots are all about, having fun, making each other laugh, connect and a little reminder how much in love you are. This shoot is the perfect example of that, just about every image there is laughing, smiles and they are simply having a great time.
Good Luck for tomorrow guys (Friday the 13th March 2020)
