Hayley + Matt [Cammo] got married in spring at the rustic Mewburn Park, which is a stunning farm in Maffra, Gippsland. It was such a happy day and an absolute cracker of a wedding!
Hayley got ready at home before heading to Mewburn Park to frock-up, the atmosphere was full of excitement as their wedding had been postponed when Hayley found out she was pregnant with their 2nd daughter Emmie [she’s the gorgeous bub]. Cammo got ready at Bridges on Argyle with his fellas. When I arrived he was putting the final touches on his speech, not an unusual thing really. He had been groomsman in a wedding a shot a few years ago, so it was fun to hang out with some of the same group again. They travelled to the ceremony in a bus – what easier way to get a bunch of peeps to the same place at the same time?
The bride then walked to meet the groom at their ceremony site with no-one else around for a first look [which I absolutely love, love, love, if you’re considering doing a first look, please book me]! We then did some photos with their daughters and their bridal party. They took a breather while I photographed some details of the ah-mazing set-up. The ceremony was absolutely lovely, in front of those iconic stable doors that we all love.
Everyone enjoyed drinks near the stable doors in the afternoon, the sit down, long table reception was of course in the huge clear permanent marquee. Hayley + Cammo chose Mewburn Park because it suited the barn/rustic feel they always had in mind for their wedding. They gave Hailey from Valentina Flowers creative license, with the only request was succulents [nailed it, the earthy feeling complemented by so much greenery was awesome]. Check out those details, I absolutely loved all the centrepieces, the vintage couches and of course the signs.
I love shooting Mewburn Park weddings because the people are brilliant [thank you Julia + Adam] and there are so many locations to do photos. The festoon lights looked beautiful as always and we even snuck back to the barn doors for some after-dark fun.
Hayley and Cammo’s wedding had so much love in the room, everyone was so happy that these two finally tied the knot! I really should have blogged it long ago, I promise I’m trying to do better.
