Kristy and Glenn got married in Summer at the beautiful Hoggett Kitchen [formerly Wild Dog Winery], which is a stunning venue in Warragul, West Gippsland. It was a gorgeous day and everything an elegant winery wedding should be!
Kristy got ready at an AirBnB cottage and the atmosphere was so energetic with all the girls gathering their things for the day. Kristy is a dance teacher and asked me if we could do some photos in her pointe shoes [that was a HELL YES]! The girls then hopped into a new Rolls Royce and a Vintage Bentley to get to the ceremony. Glenn got ready at their home with their super cute Bengal Archie doing great at the photo-bombing. The boys all play basketball together so we did some shots of them shooting hoops before the ceremony.
The ceremony was an intimate service overlooking the vines. Everyone watched as the gorgeous girls walked down from the carpark. During the ceremony Glenn’s mum did a reading. It was so personal and there were smiles on everyone’s faces by the time their first kiss came around.
They chose Hoggett Kitchen because the food is incredible and it was the perfect space for their pink and gold colour scheme. It was a sparkly wedding, all the gold and glitter in the decorations were perfect. I love shooting vineyard weddings because they’re always plenty of different textures and backdrops to work with. Kristy’s pick of locations was the Olive Grove, which was rocking some glorious light that afternoon.
They had drinks in the afternoon, and a candy-bar in the evening. They decorated the venue with flowers and had a polaroid camera for guests to use, so even though I wasn’t staying for the reception, so they still got plenty of photos for their guestbook.
I absolutely love a mermaid dress, Kristy’s Maggie Sottero was beautiful next to Glenn’s navy blue suit, they looked perfectly dapper. Kristy’s Tiffany sparkled all day and the flowers included hydrangeas and dahlias, they were gorgeous.
Kristy and Glenn’s wedding was a super happy occasion and they had so many wonderful people with them. It was an absolute honour to capture such a love-filled day. Here’s their gorgeous wedding!
