Noelene & Wells Humphrey what can I say, other then thank you thank you thank you for putting your trust in me like you did to capture your wedding day, tell your wedding day story, and record your beautiful love story.
Sure there are a lot of beautiful photos and how they have been laid out to share the story… But I’m talking about the love, the relationships, the meaning of the day to these 2 families shows in every picture. The relationship between Noelene and her dad is just gorgeous, there were a couple of times they nearly had me in tears, I had to walk away. To be a part of this and trusted to record these moments is why I’m a wedding photographer, its privilege and an honour.
I’ve known Wells for quite a few years, but I only met Noelene for the first time in May 2017. After only spending 10-15 minutes with these guys I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding, we connected really well. It really is super important to be comfortable with your photographer, it can affect the day and the overall result. We talked shit, we laughed about anything, I heard all about the elaborate proposal (ya rocked that one Wellsy). After about 2 hours of talking about anything but wedding photography, don’t tell them but I probably would have shot their wedding for free (well, not really but you get what I mean).
It was on the pre-wedding shoot that I really got to know these 2 as a couple, they let me into their lives, were so uninhibited and let their relationship show from the minute we stepped onto the sand at Inverloch, It was just my role to capture it. From then on I couldn’t wait for their wedding day.
I hope you enjoy their wedding story.
Cheers
Dave
