Raechelle & Simon were keen to do their e-shoot at our first meeting – yes, yes, yes. I barely knew anything about them before we started, half an hour, a roller door, brick wall, blue building and a little bit of car-dodging later I felt like we’d known each other for years!
They are a beautiful couple with a great connection, the fact they were willing to do a back-street, alley-way, urban, industrial e-shoot makes them pretty cool too in my book. This whole shoot was only about half an hour and all shot within 100 metres from where we parked our cars – there are awesome locations everywhere, you just have to see them.
Enjoy your sneak peek guys, I’m looking forward to showing you the rest and capturing your wedding day for you next year!
I love doing e-shoots on the first meeting, it lets my clients see me work, straight-up, and we can get to know each other without just talking about the plans you’ve made so far (and had to tell probably 1,000 people before walking into the studio). It’s not all about pricing and printing and albums. My clients know from the start they can have fun and be relaxed about having their photo taken, that even if they’re a little bit anxious, the photography part of their wedding day will be enjoyable. After all they’ve already learnt that their photographer is slightly off-beat and they have the bonus of some cool shots they can use in a guest book or even as a print or two, because your home should have photos of the two of you, frocked-up or not. Oh and there’s no session fee, you book, you get a couple of prints, if for some reason you choose another photographer for your wedding day, that’s ok too, you can still purchase products or files from your shoot, nice!
