Lauren & Chris are such a beautiful couple, I remember hearing their engagement story from a friend before I had even met them, and I’m pretty sure I had tears in my eyes! From memory there was something along the lines of “mummy will you marry daddy?” [obviously it involved their two gorgeous daughters]. Very sweet indeed.
After getting ready at the Novotel St Kilda, their wedding ceremony took place on the rooftop of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, at sunset [yep, pretty as!]. Luckily there was a little bit of cloud cover that came over just as Lauren walked down the aisle, which made for beautiful light for the duration of their ceremony, and then the sun came back out just in time for us to head down onto the pier, perfect!
Lauren & Chris put on a stunning event, so much fun that their guests didn’t really take any photos. So here is what started out as a sneak peek, but I really couldn’t pick just one or two images, I had such a good time capturing their day and I hope you all love the images as much as I do.
Thank you for asking me to capture your day, it was such a pleasure to be your photographer, Chris, I know you don’t love photos, but you totally nailed it. Thank you both [and your bridal party] for dealing with the St Kilda Pier crowds and wind so well, and Lauren, for having the most fabulous hair!
PS Look for the kiss shot, it’s one of my favourites of all time, and the shots of Lauren hugging one of the girls before the ceremony – so much love right there. For a laugh, the last shot, it was late, the boys asked for a photo, I told them to make it good as they were the last one’s of the day, they happily complied!
